Your wedding day is unique, and so are you. That is why we don't follow any traditional mold or template; we conform to your personalities, your love & your day.
We will take charge when we see our couples need help with direction & posing (we know not everyone is used to big cameras being shoved in their faces) & we will flys on the wall when we need to be, capturing all the moments that encapsulate your special day.
We are selective with the couples we choose, but only so we may be a good fit! It is important for us to build a connection with the couples we work with, after all, it is a personal & once in a life-time day. We want you to be comfortable showing us your vulnerability, the true you.We are both very easy going people; we laugh a lot and don’t take ourselves too seriously. Who Are We?
We are a Vancouver based boutique wedding photography & videography company powered by husband & wife duo Ruslana and Adam Dawda.
Adam Dawda is a multi-medium artist & model who has been capturing weddings through photo & video mediums with some of the best companies in Vancouver for the past 5 years. He prides himself on his ability to quickly understand family and friend dynamics, keeping a keen eye to the nuances of the situations that surround him. Adam uses his background as a fashion photographer, music video & editorial filmmaker to his advantage in order to bring a refined & beautiful taste to all of his work.
Ruslana Dawda is a photographer, painter & fashion model who has been working as a photographer for the past 5 years. She uses her experience as an international model to pose & direct her couples effortlessly & elegantly. She treats her photography much like her paintings, with a strong emphasis on composition, lighting & mood. Having lived & grown up in Europe for her formative years, Ruslana brings the influence & tastes she acquired to infuse them into her work.

HOW MANY WEDDINGS DO YOU PHOTOGRAPH EACH YEAR?
We take on a limited amount of clients on per year. We like to focus on quality over quantity. We want to make sure we are not rushing between shoots and provide focused, careful service to all of our clients. That allows us to give a relatively short turn around of 3-4 weeks for photos and 6-8 weeks for highlight films.
HOW DO WE BOOK YOU?
After having a look through our portfolio on our website & Instagram , please send us an inquiry through the contact tab, or e mail us directly. We generally respond within 48 hours. We offer in-person or over the phone consultations to discuss the bookings. We require a %50 retaining deposit to secure your date.
WHAT ARE YOUR RATES?
Rates depend on the services & time you require. Please e mail us for the most up to date information. However, if you’re looking for a bargain, that’s not us. We take the job of documenting your day beautifully very seriously, and are invested in this process. We believe that you get what you pay for, invest in yourself, this day only happens once in your life.
WHERE ARE YOU BASED?
We are based out of beautiful Vancouver, BC, however we do travel for weddings as well. For bookings outside of Vancouver, there will be additional travel/accommodation expenses that are not included in the package: flights, hotel, car rental (if required); typically we arrive the day before the first event and leave the morning after the last event.
HOW MANY PHOTOS WILL WE GET?
The number of photos delivered varies based on timelines, locations, activities, and so on; therefore, we don’t have a specific amount we deliver. Typically, for a traditional western wedding we provide 300 or more edited images.
DO YOU PHOTOSHOP YOUR CLIENTS?
Our photography is about celebrating love and authenticity. We promote self-love and body positivity, so we don’t alter the way you look other than temporary blemishes like bruises and acne. We won’t photoshop to alter what is real and true for you. If you are especially self-conscious about something, please let us know, and we will be sure to be mindful of your concern when photographing you.
HOW DO WE RECEIVE OUR PHOTOS?
When the editing is complete, we upload the images to a password-protected online gallery and send it to you via email. You can share the link with friends and family, so they can view your photos. You can also download the whole gallery to your computer.
WHAT RIGHTS DO YOU HAVE?
You have all rights to download, print, and use your images for personal purposes.
WHAT IF WE NEED TO CANCEL/RESCHEDULE OUR WEDDING?
We understand that every situation is different and we work with our clients to find options. We don’t encourage date changes, as our schedule is planned out a long way in advance. However, if we can accommodate your new date, we will. In the case of a cancellation, our retainer fee is non-refundable.
WE’RE AWKWARD & NERVOUS AROUND A CAMERA. HOW WILL YOU GET GOOD PHOTOS OF US?
First of all, we take a layed back and easy approach with all our clients. We understand being in front of a camera can be nerve racking and that for many of our clients it’s their first time doing a photoshoot. Just be yourself, settle in, and we will do the rest. As fashion models ourselves, we have extensive experience being on the other side of the camera. This gives us an edge on posing, your angles and our editorial style.
WHAT HAPPENS IF WE EXCEED THE CONTRACTED AMOUNT OF TIME? DO YOU CHARGE FOR ADDITIONAL COVERAGE?
We understand that not everything goes as planned during a wedding. We don’t leave on the dot when the contracted time is up. Instead, we will ask you at the end of your contracted time whether or not you would like to extend. If you would like us to stay, we will charge the rates specified in your contract rounded to the closest 30-minute increment. We need to charge for additional coverage primarily because there are costs of having the team stay for additional hours. The shooters and lighting assistants all require additional compensation. Furthermore, the additional photos taken will need to be post-produced which adds to our overall costs.
I HAVE DOWNTIME BETWEEN EVENTS ON MY WEDDING DAY. WILL I BE CHARGED FOR THAT DOWNTIME?
For many reasons, we have to charge for the time in between events. The fact is, we’re never truly resting during the day, whether we’re backing up images, setting up for the second venue, traveling to the second location, taking venue shots, or making up for lost photo time because of unforeseen wedding day delays. In many cases, we use that “downtime” to take you and your significant other out for a photo session or more family portraits.
